Just purchased MG ZT CDTi it has Alpine 6 CD changer and Sat Nav with radio and casette....does anybody still play casettes??

Anyway the speakers sound awful!! the power from the units seem to distort the speakers, surely they are insufficient, or am I ignorant about sound systems?

I would have thought a suitable speaker upgrade would be sufficient or enhance the sound.

I am hoping to enrich the bass output and quality in general, can I do this without changing the door panel fascias?

Thankyou

Do you have hi line or lo line sat nav? (hi line has the tv screen).

If lo line then your sound can be sorted with this http://www.r75-parts.de/en/sle/index.php

If hi line then I'm afraid I can't help much :(

In that case I have Hi-Line and the sound, in fact the TV is not the greatest signal, but then it is in the car!

But the speakers sound like they were underspecced!! if you know what I mean

But thanx for your reply

There was a factory option to upgrade the Hi Line speakers to a harmon Kardon set up. I seem to remember seeing a thread a while back on retro fitting this, although it may have been on .org. Do a search. It will improve the sound.
