Website News since October 24th 2005
1st July 2006 - New Article and Nip and Tuck time
A few additions and amendments, thanks to members for their contributions. The Australia section of the Dealer Locator has been updated, along with Dorset for the UK (Germany and France is coming soon, I promise!), and V8 owners now have a service list to use when their cars go in for maintenance. Of course, don't forget Mike's visit to XPart too! Excellent stuff there about the spares situation for our cars.
18th June 2006 - New section and updates
The member directory of services is now up and running, which means we have another area now available for use. This will grow over time but already there are some valubale contacts for you. Elsewhere the dealer locator is updated for Cumbria, Staffordshire and County Meath.
11th June 2006 - More Updates
The review of the Beaulieu meet is now online and we have added more splash images and more content generally throughout.
29th May 2006 - Updates
Well it may be a Bank Holiday but there's work to be done folks. Detail stuff I know, but Austria, Norway, Lithuania, Luxembourg, the Netherlands and Australia are now in the Dealer Locator section. Phew!
28th May 2006 - Beaulieu pages and other updates
Well Ken's hotline to God about the weather seemed to work yet again and the pics look superb. Tonight is about getting the first pics in from Ian and Chris - who has already put two on the front page by the way. The Europe dealer locator is about to see about 30 pages added, with Spain, Norway and Lithuania the first up for viewing.
21st May 2006 Some more detail work, with a supplementary manual covering later models now in the ICE section, and more work on the International dealers with Ireland being the main focus as this has been an outstanding job on the list for far too long.
21st May 2006 - the new web site goes live!
20th May 2006 A huge leap forwards, with restricted testing by members showing up a few glitches here and there (now fixed), the European directory is now being compiled offline ready for publication, the ICE section gets its first 4 pages to show the basic overviews of the systems, and the club organisers are finally revealed. Finally, and certainly not least, Chris is making real headway with the registration forms - thanks for that!
29th April 2006 Yet more datasheets installed for members, and three dealers edited to keep the directory up to date.
26th March 2006 Two nice features for the site - firstly the auction of assets at MG Sport & Racing and a reply to some questions I posed to Richard Woolley, the man behind the 75s gracious exterior
5th March 2006 After what has been a long period away due to other commitments the site will be getting some serious TLC. My apologies for this. The dealer locator has been mildly refreshed and the Technical data is being recompiled for next week.
22nd January 2006 The MG ZT and ZT-T are now featured much more comprehensively, and the dimension images are also published. The details about the Tourer will be replicated for the 75 version next week by the way.
15th January 2006 At long, long last the MG ZT TechData section is starting to fill up. The first page is still not quite ready (the little diagram is nearly done thankfully) but capacities, wheels and tyres etc are all now published. It should all be complete by next week, and tanks for your patience. Navigation has also been improved for the entire area with a Home button to take you back to the Main Technical Data section.
4th December 2005 Now it may not look like much is happening but behind the scenes nothing could be further from the truth. For example, today I have mostly been blatting round Donington Park in a ZT V8 and a ZT-T. Supercharged ones. I sacrifice myself for the club! Full article is appearing in the Members Section when it goes live - which is soon, I promise, we have an expert working on this now.........

For everyone coming to the meet at Gaydon there is now a registration form for you to complete and print out to stick in your car. When you submit the details we'll be able to keep a log of the people coming and make sure Gaydon are ready for the invasion. Thanks must go to jamescj for his excellent work in providing the registration form.
20th November 2005 More datasheets! Matt has been hard at it creating another three datasheets - one of which is probably the most comprehensive guide to paint codes over the last 35 years. Get over to the TechData zone and find out more.
13th November 2005 TechData gets 4 more guides. A slight departure from the 'how to' guides but valuable stuff nonetheless; vehicle identification data. If you want to know the provenance of your car this will help. It will also help you when talking about your car with a dealer or independent. These guides are located here, and colours and trim codes are to folow very soon.
12th November 2005 Even MORE dealers now located! A lot of detail work and more MGR dealers added. We've bagged our first one for Norfolk which is good news for owners in the East, along with improved contact information across the board. Lots of engineering work behind the scenes to make the site load a bit faster so moving around should be quicker for you.
5th November 2005 The Dealer Locator section has now been rebuilt and goes graphical! To make searching easier and quicker the old index has been replaced with geographical mapping to let you search by County, and the Republic of Ireland has been added to the site. As ever though, if you know of a dealer who is not featured here, let us know and we'll get in touch with them.
To compliment the service list for the ZT there is now also one for the 75, located in the TechData zone, and yes, the typos dotted around the site have been cleared up. Well, we hope so..........
4th November 2005 Just a quick couple of updates ahead of the main one on Sunday - another datasheet which believe me you'll want to keep, and a bit of tidying up. Don't worry though, there's plenty arriving on the 6th!
30th October 2005 The first series of updates for the club web site sees a number of important changes. The Dealer Locator has been updated, and for all you ZT owners you'll be delighted to see that there is a lot more technical data about your models. There's also a service check sheet - our version of the original dealer item - available to download.
24th October 2005 - Blimey! We're live! Well it's taken a little while and there's a huge amount of work to do but we're up and running. This site is at what you could call stage 1, where the information is being found and counted for publication, so in the coming weeks you'll see details including:
Full tech data on the ZT to match the data published on the 75
A complete rundown on the V8 versions of the 75 and ZT
A full overview of the tourers
Interviews with people behind the making of the 75 and ZT
Forthcoming events
Members cars and mods
Lots more datasheets on the important, niggly and confusing jobs you can do yourself
And yes - a membership scheme!
Right now though we want to hear from you. You've hopefully been taking a look through what has been published so far and next week the contact details will be given so you can start giving feedback on what you would like to see appear. Ultimately this site will stand or fall on whether it has the stuff to keep you interested and coming back regularly, so please take time out to think about what you would like to see and get in touch next week.
