Eicher brakes
Is anyone on here running them?
Or should I just assume they're as much use as a chocolate fireguard and buy the Pagids? Surely if they're rubbish they wouldn't be allowed to be sold? |
I can't imagine ECP selling brake parts that aren't up to the job, especially as they have a 12 month warranty with them.
I wouldn't have any qualms fitting them, but I have no experience with then on a 75. Although they were fine on my old Peugeot 306. |
i,ve had them fitted about a yrar and a half now and not had any probs :)

Ive got unipart ones at the minute. But my MOT is due next month and I want new discs and pads all round. The brake lines were all replaced 2yrs ago so they should be ok.
I did a search for reviews and they werent good, but most of these linked back to forums like Cupra, Pug and Impreza forums. This is probably down to these pillocks driving around like complete clowns. I drive sensibly and very rarely have to stab at the brakes. Surely as long as you get matching pads and discs they'll perform properly. They must have to conform to standards to be saleable here. ECP and CP4L have them listed as best sellers so they must be ok. Just wondered what they were like on our cars |
You may find that the pads have glazed slightly
Try finding a quiet bit of road, away from any houses and do a couple of emergency stops and really get the car to stop on a sixpence I've done this with mine and it made a big difference |
