My dad has just finished sorting this one out, but has decided to keep the saloon instead. I'm half tempted by it myself. Condition is pretty much as it looks...v good. There are more photo's in the photobucket album if you click on the picture. If anyone is at all interested I'll ask him for the all the normal details. But as far as I know 2 litre petrol and I think it's an auto. A solid car with a fresh MOT just a couple of weeks ago. He's looking for £750 (price amended from £1000) ovno on it. The car is at Skegby (nr Mansfield/Sutton-in-Ashfield) North Notts. (M1 J27/28).

Stop Press Further details:

I would come over to the darkside 800 forum lol, But I'm not quite tempted enough (so very nearly though), It's another month before the yearly review and payrise roundabout for me though. And the mrs now has her sights set looking for an lpg tourer.

Definitely not the dark side, its where you will see the light!

Please do not take the wrong way but I don't think its a vitesse. It looks like a non turbo, nasp 140bhp model. Its a later model, post 1996 facelift with that colour and colour coding. Sorry I cannot remember the official name for it buts a lovely colour and suits the car well.

I will put a link on the 800 site to this advert if you like?

As I understood it's the vitesse engine but sans turbo and properly setup for nasp running, so more grunt than the standard 820 but not quite as much as a vitesse turbo. I can confirm having been in it last year that it does go quite noticeably faster than my 820 fastback did. 140bhp is in the right area I guess, so you are probably correct. I'd love it for myself, but the mrs won't have it and I can't have two cars for myself, so unless something terminal happens to 75 I can't have it (won't let go of the 75 now - I've spent too much time, money, sweat and blood on it). If I was after a car I'd have it in a flash. (If I were allowed a second car - it'd be a tomcat anyway).

PS. Feel free to link to this ad. or to the one on carandclassic at http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C627819#

PPS. bolero red.

I might have ben tempted were it not for the fact I'm still enjoying the car I bought from Simon Hubbard.
By the way, having checked the Car and Classic ad I think you may have understated the mileage in your post
