Navall 3 - how do I get the microphone working?

So my Navall 3 is slowly coming to life. Mostly niggles now, but I still have one show-stopper of a problem : the microphone is dead.

I understand that there's meant to be an option to enable/disable the external microphone in the General Settings menu... but as you can see from the photo I've attached, I don't see that option.

Is there an app I could download that might fix this?
If I bought an external microphone would that work (bit worried that this would have no effect)?

I have just checked on mine and the external MIC option is on that screen in between "Bluetooth device book auto delete" and "Sort Radio by Frequency"

I have an external mic attached.

I suppose there is a chance the software disables that option if it cannot see an external mic connected. I'd offer to check but would rather not unplug it all at the moment.

I think I would check that, plus a factory reset and then be asking Coolcat!

Hope you get it sorted

Mike

Thanks Mike, appreciate the response. That's what I was thinking too. I suppose it's worth a shot. I'd rather not go down the factory reset route unless I have to.

You could try a recording app from PlayStore, it might jump start the mic, worth a shot.
Internal mic is naff, I use external one too.
Ken.
