The story goes - he and his team have learned how to reserve seats.

Careful Clive, this may be seen as starting a closed thread? :-)

Hi.
Please lets not get into another political argument on this.

Rule 15 has to be adhered too which I remind posters to "read and digest" before starting threads or replying.
15. There is no room on this forum for sexism, racism or religious bigotry. In addition your political views are yours, and yours alone. Other forums exist for the purpose of debating this topic. You may not use these forums to promote political beliefs or to encourage or persuade others to conform to your views. Criticism or review of Government activities is however permitted, but only if done in a non-abusive and polite manner.

Also please read this "sticky"

Thanks

I do hope so!

If ever there was an example on here of the Streisand effect - that heavy handed and biased "moderation" was it.

Then perhaps you could offer an explanation as to exactly why and by way of what "infringement" of Rule 15 my previous thread initiated?

Hi.
I will reply by PM to that question. I don't want to reply here as that would be me flouting the rules and add to political arguments.

Isn't it against the club rules to reopen or discuss a previously closed thread subject. I have seen members over the years banned or sent on gardening leave for trying it on. The members who don't like the rules, it is not rocket science as to what they can do. I will be polite and not spell it out ;)

I have placed at least 2 of them on the ignore list, as I am not impressed by them attempting to manipulate the moderators and the other members to suit their own agendas, political or otherwise :getmecoat:

No thanks please for my comments, as it is a sad state of affairs.

Might as well throw in my tanner's worth.
"Rule 15…..Criticism or review of Government activities is however permitted, but only if done in a non-abusive and polite manner."

There is a bias if ever I saw one - so the Government can be criticised but not the opposition (i.e. Mr. Corbyn and his mates, the ex.shadow Ministers and their mates - that's the majority of the Labour MP's - and of course the Saltire bunch and the solitary UKip bloke, billy no mates…..!).
Come on, there was plenty of good natured and sensible discourse during the Referendum so why the heavy handed stuff now - a lot of this may be of a political nature but it is quite properly just Social chit chat and exchange of personal views.
I had a thread closed because I addressed the SNP chief cook and bottle washer, the great Nichola S, as 'Mrs. Fish' and one of our more touchy (and I believe venerable) Members north of the border couldn't even countenance that - apparently he was getting a bit hot and bothered every time the SNP got sniped, mind you it didn't stop him from having a go at the English, and he wasn't censored for that (could easily be classed as racial bigotory…..)
