Steering Rack
 

Can anyone advise ?
Is the steering rack for our cars common across all engine sizes (V8 excepted)
My car has just passed M.O.T. but with advisory on wear, just spotted one on fleabay but would rather take advice here first.
Mine is a 1.8

There is one steering rack part number for the 75 (not ZT), up to vin 321587.

The part number you need is:

QAB102442 Gear assembly power assisted steering

or, if it is an older part on offer then

QAB102440 (this number was superseded by QAB102442.

According to the catalogue this part number will not fit:

QAB000220

pm me your vin number for final confirmation

Just looked Steve, that item is for the ZT only. Different gearing etc. Sorry :(
