Replacement headlight switch
My lovely new acquisition has a severe electrical drain, emptying a new 80Ah battery within four days. Investigation required. My initial culprit is the headlight switch which remains continually illuminated. I understand that it has back-up information within and needs to match that of the IPK. If I fit a replacement can a t4 session make it compatible with the correct information?

When the LSM remains lit, it prevents the BCU going to sleep ;) Drop me a PM if you wish to know more Brian :D |
Happy new year Brian. The info on this post, does the same apply to all the Rover 75 range?. I would imagine it does, but not to good on Electrickry problems.

Replacement, coded LSM seems to be doing the business. Car started first turn yesterday morning after standing idle for a week. I feel tempted to go for another trip today.

David. Did you get the help you wanted on this ???---
|
Certainly did.
It seems so. Marinabrian supplied a coded replacement LSM. There is an identically named thread concurrent with this which has a little more information. I inadvertently hit the send button twice when posting my plea. |
