Was editing while you were typing it seems. Have just bought a pair of Raydot ones for the 75/ZT.

if you can find a pair of the specific ones for the Rover/MG (they fit both bullet mirrors and skullcaps) - they're worth whatever you have to pay for them (within reason!). They are rock steady, no vibration, and once you've got them adjusted you can take them off and re-fit them with no need for further adjustments :}

Agreed, tbh its not worth even considering anything but the genuine article, as nothing else fits as securely. Considering the shape of the mirrors is oval, all non MGR mirrors are designed for straight edge mirror casings, not curved.
I had aftermarket ones at first, but they constantly need tightening, they wobble, and one was even pulled off its mount by the vacuum caused by a passing artic, travelling at speed.:eek:

These are what I bought:-

They should be here Friday or Saturday if not on Monday. Am hoping that these are the correct and best type.

Yup - those are the genuine MGR "designed to fit" ones - they are superb :}
That's not a bad price you've paid - I have seen them go for in excess of £40 + carriage.

There were some on the forums and I expressed interest but at that time the funds were not there to follow through with a purchase. Have been looking for a while but none came up. Missed some on Gumtree that went very cheap. Then stumbled across these so went for them.

One of the other advantages of them is that it is only the mounting and the straps which are unique to the MGR mirrors - the actual mirror glass and casing are a standard Raydot item, so if you ever break one - they're easily replaceable.
