clutch replacement cost
 
hi I have just bought a 75 1.8T saved from scrapyard I paid £200 for it but the clutch is slipping does anyone know the going cost of having it replaced

thanks for replys I think I'm going to have a go at it myself now as much as the price might be cheaper than other garages I can't folk out 400+ to have it done also it will be experience for me.

Excellent stuff, just make sure you use decent quality parts, it's not a job you will want to repeat in a hurry ;)

Long await finally had clutch done the flywheel was knackered aswell with cracks in the face and too much play so he replaced with a known good used one. Clutch had nothing left on friction plate of it even though it had been replaced previously going by springs in clutch plate he used an AP clutch 2 part kit and a valeo slave cylinder

Cost £360 all in
