How many zts left

www.howmanyleft.co.uk/?page=1&q=Mg+zt According to how manyleft.co.uk, mg zt range are falling fast like most cars this age. Only 600 ish v6 190s left according to this site if I read it correct. I sold rovers and mg from new back in the day and they are slowly vanishing....

a fading star?

Hi,
yes according to the site in Q3 (July to September) 2016 there were 296 cars of the MG ZT 190 type on the road and 77 SORNd. Mine was one of the latter at that time, but pleased to say it is taxed and hopefully MOTd soon (when the part can be found that needs replacing). We are now looking at some fairly rare cars - and as they get scrapped, they will become even rarer.
Not sure what anyone else thinks, but the MG ZT 190 that I have puts a smile on my face when I drive it and has that elusive quality - 'class'.:} Alex

I agree, great cars. The numbers will fall fast as they are worth more in parts, you can get a good 190 example for 1k at the moment still, the cdtis once had a premium price but now do not. Seems to me that the general public are not keen on the 75 or zt.

I suspect that soon the numbers will bottom out and then remain pretty constant

I see that the 190 se is down to 89 registered.

Numbers are dropping fast, once the "drive them till they die" people finish with them prices will rise

Things tend to turn the corner at 20. When was the last time you saw a Mondeo or Escort pre '97 reg?

No surprise but the best place to see cars over 20yrs old in regular use is your local supermarket car park. Even my 83yr old mum is still driving her one-owner, 55k '97 Honda Civic. She did 800 miles between the last two MOTs, almost all back and forth to the shops.

But with so few of any marque left after 20yrs old there's usually someone out there who will want to save it (if it's a good one) yet five years early the same car would have been happily dispatched to the crusher without a 2nd thought.

My dad's ZT V8 260SE is currently SORNed and the MOT has run out but it will be back on the road come the 1st of May :)

Its been regularly started etc and run up / down the drive.

How many of these ZT's left that are untouched from the boy-racer mods?

I have two ZT+190's that are both standard original, except one having a DD stereo, but I still have the original to put back in at any time.

Mods do have there price, increases your insurance, or make it void if not declared, plus devalue the car at a later stage.

Only one on road over winter, 5 on SORN, 2 complete donors also on SORN that could be roadworthy with a little work. All 190 SEs except 2. Could be 3 donors if I can't find a way of getting one started after battery went flat (no, I have recharged battery but still no life in starting cycle but all other electrics work). That will distort figures if others have done the same.
What are the numbers for 75s?
