Misfire then Dies
1.8T Rover 75 starts up and drives, yet once up to running temperature around 88 degrees it develops a misfire then cuts out and refuses to start again until the engine has cooled right down, then you can just repeat the process....
Anyone had this? is it likely to be the coil packs or something else, will get it T4 when I can but would like advice up until then please |
Crank sensor.-----------
|
Hot coil syndrome possibly?
Check the codes for a better clue. |
Well T4 showed up 'not cranking' anyway upon inspection by Brian it was discovered that the wiring to the Crank sensor was not great, so some soldering and re-routing had to be done, also faulty wiring to the multi point injection manifold sensor
So car has been on a 250 mile trip today.... on board diagnostic read temp between 90 -96 and no running issues Another Huge thanks to Marinabrian and his T4 |
