Joshua v Klitschko.

Probably the most I've looked forward to a fight in the last ten years.Very difficult to call but if pushed I will go for Klitschko.

What are your thoughts?

Ravinder 28th April 2017 22:22

I think Joshua will take him down.

I'll take K too, although AJ weighed in 10 lbs heavier than K. At their weights though that's not a huge advantage but it helps to mitigate the age difference a bit. AJ is young - he might get a bit over-awed by the occasion. If AJ did do it, it would be good for British boxing after the embarrassment that was Fury.

Most definitely going to be AJ, much too powerful and he has the hunger .

Having said that they are both a shining example to boxing and both deserve credit for not dragging it down to gutter level. Pride has been restored to this great sport :}.

Klitschko , don't think it will go beyond the 5th...

My only thought is I have no desire to give Sky twenty quid to find out!

Although Klitschko is 41 he is in fantastic shape having trained like a demon since the Fury defeat. He has always looked after himself, and lived in the gym. This is his 29th title fight against Joshua's 19th
fight, experence has to play a significant part.I agree with what most of the pundits are saying,I'm expecting an onslought from Joshua for the first 3-4 rounds but if Klitschko rides those I'm expecting him to get stronger and stronger.May the best man win.

I'll be listening on Radio 5 Live. Not quite the same as watching, but better than nothing.

As to the result, I think it's too close to call. AJ looks best on paper given the age difference, but I believe that the Klitschko he'll be facing will be VERY different to the one who fought Fury. As has already been said, if Klitschko survives the first few rounds, his experience will pay dividends and the longer the fight goes on, the more I would tilt towards a Klitschko win. Certainly looking forward to it, and it's nice to see a big fight without the unnecessary nastiness that seems to surround so many these days.

A.J reminds me of a young Frank Bruno, powerful, early finisher but tired quickly as lactose took over in his massive arms, if Klitchko holds & evades like he normally does, he may have an advantage if the fight lasts any length of time, but, I take AJ early on:bowdown::cool:

The information is that the ringwalk is timed for around 9-45,earlier than normal for the bout that tops the bill.
