Sat Nav - more help please

Right I have it retrofitted

I have the bleeding missing ABS link problem, any idea's on late mk1 car where the slate/green wire is bundled. I had a grey with green stripe in the loom and i have attached to pin 2 of the the 6 pin connector coming off the sat nav loom but still the wheel sensor says 0.

I only have 2 wire in the 6 pin connector on the sat nav loom and on the plug that was on the original loom there seemed to be the steering wheel remote connection I did not need as I have wired them directly to the BMW plug.

I know it could be that the ABS lead is not wire but Duotone who had just ISO plugs like mine found the wire in the loom.

I'll go and check but I think that one is the reverse signal.

On my facelift the ABS signal was in the 20 way yellow/blue/green.

I'll be back in a mo.

As mine had an IOVOX I did not have the the green/blue/yellow mini iso plug originally, althought I did use a blank when I uprgade to Symphony and changer.

OK, the slate green isn't reverse, you are right Slate Green is the right colours, but where did you find it as colours are re-used.

It seems to live in one of the 8 ways, pin 3 of one of them (power not speaker) is the one that goes down to the satnav pin 10. I have to say the circuit is confusing and it might be in pin 1.

It was certainly there and connected on mine, though. Can't check it really as I converted to BMW plug

The wire was in the loom with the ISO's at the end of it, I have it going into pin2 on the 6 pin connector on the SAT NAV loom is this right? should it be in pin 1?

This connector only has 2 wires in pin 1 and 2.

As stated the original loom had what looks like the steering wheel remote wires going into it, but these I have hard wired directly to pin 10 and pin 17 as directed by one of Duotone pages, Steering wheel control works Ok.

The symptom is using the status I get about 4 -6 satellites but nothing on the wheel sensor.

I answered my own question, went out to the car in the dark and switched the wire over from pin2 to pin1 in the 6 pin plug on the SAT NAV loom, yahoo.

Working Sat Nav.

Just to note

I never removed the parcel shelf
I never removed the back seats
I never removed the front seats

I managed to route the loom without all the palava (that's a good word) of the above.

This is for myself :bowdown::bowdown::bowdown::bowdown::bowdown:
