Reply from the seller...........
[[Hi, it was parked behind a car that caught fire and the front end got burned. The damage did not go past the front wings and the cabin area/passenger compartment was not affected. It was only the front and engine bay. The reason for it being written off is because 60%-70% of the items on the front end are plastic. The wiring in the engine bay would have likely been damaged requiring repair. The insurance companies don't repair things anymore, it's either replace or write-off. If a door gets dented they replace the whole door at a very substantial cost. Working on that basis, the cost of replacing every damaged part would have been extremely costly so it was cheaper to write it off. The engine bay was not damaged as in deformed but was smoke and scorch damaged. It has been painted yes. Thanks.]] |
Hence there being no under bonnet pictures, I bet it's a right dog's breakfast under there.

I emailed the seller to say I have posted the info on here & hoping it goes to a good home to which he replied I hope so as he is a Rover lover too having 2 BL/BLMC Rover Group cars.
