Mg 6

Just read on the dark side that MG are upping their warranty to 5years, 3 years free road tax and 6 months free fuel at no extra cost.

Sounds very impressive... but they need to ADVERTISE the car!!!!!!!!!!!

Can't argue with that

I can't believe that SAIC launched the car without a full range of engines

Know for a fact the final design of the 2.0 diesel cars arrived two weeks ago and is being tested throughly to destruction and tweeking for UK drivers.

Its not the unfinished G series engine or from another manufacture (but the G series layed the foundations on the work), its actually a completely new 16v common rail design that will also be available in various sizes also.

The goal is a genuine 60mpg from the MG6 on motorway goals.

Amazing what the dealership told me (and showed me!) at the weekend.

I've heard and read that the Diesel is in pre-production testing and is at least 12months away. I hope but very much doubt it will be a totally new engine a la K-series was in 1989. It will also need some damn good testing as the latest diesel engines produced by the likes of VW and Ford are known for failure due to high compression and high BHP levels.

I never believe what dealerships tell me as most of it is pre-sale bull
