Heated rear screen,
As a matter of interest can the automatic operation of this be cancelled on the cars system? Yes I know I can engage my eye and finger to achieve the same.Chris.S.

as far as i know it cannot under normal circumstances. the same as with the heated door mirrors being on permanently. unless others know different ? it does annoy me also to have to switch it off as many other members have commented. would have been better with the temp set at a lower trigger point , but then you still have condensation as part of the reasoning behind this setting.

You can turn it off very easily with TOAF ;)

Thanksall. Roger TOAF can it turn it "down" or off or both? Chris.S.

Sorry mate, got rid of the old girl recently, and amazing how quickly you start to forget things... just popped by here because I was bored :duh: From what I remember, it simply had the option to enable/disable it coming on automatically when the temp got below 10 degrees... it annoyed me coming on all the time when it was cold, but the rear screen was clear, so I turned that function off. Have you not tried TOAF at all then? |
Roger's memory is quite correct, (nice to see him still posting), Toaf either enables or disables the heated screen. Disabled on my V6s as sometimes the screen is clear even though the temperature is well below freezing.

Heh - that'd be a first Mike, my memory being correct... who did you say you were again? New car (Insignia) does the same thing, but no TOAF equivalent, so I'll have t live with it :duh: |
