For The Footy Fans.

There is vote at the FA AGM on the 6th of June about the immediate abolition of VAR effective from the beginning of next season.

The premier league clubs are to vote and it needs a minimum of 14 clubs (two thirds) to vote for it to be abolished.Even then the FA have got to sanction it but it's highly likely they would.

Yes please it's it's ruining the game 🙏

Utd were very fortunate that day but every chance they will get spanked in the final.

mmmm should a team loose or win due to a wrong decision?
I saw a Youtube video of a goalkeeper receiving a Red card for handball out of his area. The goalie denied he had handballed the ball, when the ref reviewed VAR he rescinded the Red card as it was clear the ball had hit the keepers chest.

I agree after a gaol has been scored there can be a long wait for a VAR decision.

I sit on the fence, I like the free flow on non VAR but feel decisions should be right.

Human error has always been part of the game Ian and this stop start is totally spoiling the flow ow the game. There have been some fantastic goals disallowed for a big toe being deemed offside. Its become so mechanical and players now are almost scared to celebrate before a VAR check after every goal.According to talk sport this morning it has no chance of getting passed anyway.

I think VAR should stay but with changes. Starting with the VAR panel of at least 3 or even 5 .each with a vote . There seems to be too much comradery between fellow current refs , in my opinion,to help each other out.The main grievence are the decisions about off side. Why cannot the lines be drawn with a second red line as well,so that it stays onside between those 2 lines. This then eradicates a lot of the time frame showing WHEN the ball was played from the boot. It gives a bigger tolerance that is surely needed. What is the point of calling off side for the width of a feeler gauge ? Other decisions for handball etc are welcome, but again the rules of interpretation of handball need looking at again. As far as disrupting the goal celebrations ,by waiting for VAR ,im afraid you will have to live with that.... if you want accurate and correct calls.... :D

Not in favour of live VAR but believe in its after-match use to identify any cheating/Hollywood wannabes for the purpose of ridding the game of them. No need to show them the door on their way out, just mention out of courtesy what they might have caught their personage on after they have passed through it. Bid them good riddance and let football be played ... and not the person. :viking:
