Make sure that you have the correct diagnosis there. It's rather a coincidence, don't you think? If too much refrigerant has been added, or if the drier was not purged of stored moisture, the pressure can rise above the safe maximum and the compressor will then be disabled. Alternatively your condenser could be inefficient giving the same effect.

If you went to a fast-fit outfit where they just press a button on an automatic machine, I would get a second opinion from a proper specialist in your area before replacing anything.
