I wouldn't worry too much about the glowplug relay Kevin, the only time they are needed for a healthy diesel is if the temperature drops below -15
Other issues are battery drain related, but you'll know if that's the case........
Anyway, nice to hear your new acquisition is operational once more and look forward to hearing about your recommissioning progress
