So I assume a door switch is freezing somewhere, causing it to stick. But I didn't think they were mechanical switches on the doors, nor are they visible.

Does anyone know how to get to the door switches to check which one if any is sticking?

Before you start taking the doors apart; it'll be worth while to give them all a good spray with WD40 (in all the nooks and crannys, gaps you see etc); let that do it's job of repelling any water that's in there and releasing any cack build up and then respray, this time with lithium grease

This should grease everything up nicely and it'll work normally from there

If the issue still happens, then now you know you need to dig deeper!

Don't forget to do the boot catch as well and give the bonnet sensor a once-over to see if it's sticking etc
