Does any RPM show up when cranking?

if yes crank sensor is ok...

simple checks...

is engine check light on?
remove and remake plugs on under bonnet fuel filter housing and high pressure fuel rail sensor (both easily accessed with just the bonnet open).
Go under passenger footwell, on the left just behind the glovebox, against the inside of the lower A pillar is the impact fuel cutoff... make sure the plug is on tight and press the reset on top...

report back...

if the engine is cranking it is not the inhibitor switch on the gearbox...

failing that I would T4 it as the comms bus may have an issue (Hence the EP showing)
