But there's a vital area which you must pack with grease:

The bonnet cable catch receptors behind the slam panel.
Greasing or oiling them from above doesn't get to the cable ends to prevent rust:
Peel back the 2 rubber pads (just above the radiator) and spray 1/4 of a can of spray grease into each.


We are seeing more and more Passenger side cables (the longer of the 2) hanging on by a couple of rusty strands!!


Grease them now before it's too late

Simply compress the rubber blocks above radiator to access the cable slots

Slam Panel. We always pack the releases with grease during a cooling fan change
However the cables are accessible with slam panel insitu.




Modified divider block single cable entry.
Add a slice of 5/16 fuel pipe to act as a spacer

Newbies do now!!
1. Plenum drains..all 3 or 4 year dependent
2. Cooling fan..All speeds functioning
3. Bonnet cable divider block
