Should be every 60,000miles or 4 years.
Just acquired a 2005 CDti auto with 65K . With every intention of looking after it I considered changing the gearbox oil. I read all the threads about getting the correct oil -which I found-but when I asked my local garage to do the job for me they said they would not reccomend it but would do so if I really wanted. They put me on to a gearbox specialist who also was surprised that Jatco box should have an oil change. They said that any oil change without being able to change a filter would (could) cause more harm than good due to disturbing the sediment. They reakon the boxes should be sealed for life. Not sure which way to jump now. Leave well alone?
