Just so you know, seldom but it does happen I have had it, that water pumps leak from day one. Check near the bottom of the cam cover near the pulley. If you have traces of water here the pump is leaking.
So in all of this, you can perhaps exclude the radiator, although I owul still give it a thorough check, especially around the core, where it goes into the plastic housings.
Take nothing for granted until you have checked.
