May they all rest in peace. Every day the police have to be brave facing evil people and bringing criminals to justice. As we saw in a recent thread, not everyone appreciates the police.

As you know Steve, Kenya has been at war with Islamic extremists for the past 15 years. Following 163 terrorist attacks with grenades, firearms and explosives, using radicalised youngsters and even children wearing suicide vests, the government here had enough and issued a directive to the military and to the police to execute suspected terrorists. With the help of the U.K. and the U.S authorities through intelligence gathering, counter intelligence and surveillance was beefed up with CCTV everywhere, police and army doing stop and search in the cities and across the country. The police have so far executed 500 Islamic radicles in the past 2 years, subsequently the number of terrorist attacks has dropped significantly. On top of that the Kenyan Army has gone into Somalia to flush out and kill Al Queda and Al Shabab.
