The only way you could receive traffic data is through the poles at the side of the road for TMC which have pretty much all been switched off, the Rds traffic data which is broadcast on the Classic Fm frequencies I believe or from an Internet connection or phone network connection.
So somehow if no internet is being used it must have got it from the radio broadcast which is news to me on the Navall3

It cannot receive it from the satellites, the Americans aren't nice enough to beam up live traffic from the whole world into space and then beam it back down again
So the "thick Ploterns"
It is all very interesting though.
