To remove the lower bolt/nut you will need a 13mm ring spanner and a 15mm ring spanner don't worry you will not sheer the bolt, even if you did it would still come out all you would have to do is replace, it takes some force to crack the joint first time.

The top nut use a good 13 socket and extension it help also if you remove the EGR for a while and set the hose out of the way.
