You will Rod, with our help. We've solved countless fan problems and have all the information you need so worry not!

The petrol engine fan circuit is very straightforward. If you have a 3 speed fan (4 wires entering the motor casing) then it will have a worn out motor brush. These can be renewed inexpensively by the keen DIY-er. If you have a 2 speed fan (2 wires entering the motor casing) and a silver resistor tucked away out of sight, you'll need an uprated gold resistor to fix it which again, is easily replaced. Those are by far the most common causes of slow speed fan failure.
