Probably on average around 5 a week find new homes but we have that many if not more handed in.
Thankfully we are only a small cat rescue charity, I can only imagine how stretched the bigger rescue centres get such as the Cats Protection League, PDSA and so on!
The sad thing is when the RSPCA pick up strays, no matter how healthy if they can't be found places in rescue centres within seven days they are usually euthanised.....

That's so sad & im shocked to read that.
Our last 3 bunnies have been rescues all 3 of which no one else wanted as they were a bit fiesty & were scared from people due to neglect & mishandling.
You wouldn't know that now as there all friendly & enjoying the freedom of there houses & the garden.
