Whatever the cost right now, 3D printing is the way it's going. They're already printing metal parts for jet fighters (currently under test) and within ten years they'll be like part of the furniture. Probably printed as well.
I dabble in 3D graphics, so I wish I'd a spare grand or two for a printer - and a bigger house (which will also be printed routinely by 2030).
