Yeah, I know Starspokes will fit fine over the 190 brakes but they are the only 17" wheels that do as a 'direct' fit.
Serpents on the other hand, aren't a direct fit.
This is why I can't imagine a V8 having Serpents on.
The OP says that the 260 V8 he's referring to had Blue leather with Cream piping (Neptune & Sandstone) which of course is personal line.
Surely, it if was a 260, it wouldn't have R75 leather & especially not personal line.
Could it have been a V6 in disguise perhaps?
