there is a proper timer for these but I think hard to come by. A second alternative is you can open the bonnet in the morning and earth one of the pins, this will start the heater and keep in running until you disconnect the earth. I think it may depend on which model which pin you earth Another alternative is to fit a bit of electronics that you can send a text message to, this will turn the heater on for a pre-set time. members have also connected up the cabin fan to run and so heat the interior of the car.
