I have heard of people refitting the main front to rear pipes the wrong way round?
My wifes mgf had both fans running constantly when we bought it - after a battery off job it then decided not to run them at all, so they had a bug in the code somewhere, but it doesn't sound like you have this problem.
Thanks - yep it had a new pump on (can never guarantee a new one is fine obviously but replaced). Pipes wrong way round could be a possibility not sure how they should be but either way I'd have thought it would cool. Jiggle in the inlet is fine and monitoring temps via obd so it's a physical issue. I'm down to air being somewhere, heater remains hot which puzzles even more.

What would symptoms of pipes wrong way round be ?
