Got the car in the air at a garage to see the turbo from underneath, all looking good....
After scratching our heads for a bit my mechanic (whom i dragged away from his family) sprayed some wd40 on the fan belt, drove the car and the noise was almost gone.
So it looks like a slipping belt was the cause although ive never heard one make quite this noise before. Now I just need to wait until wednesday to get one and hope it cures it.
