1) I cannot see how the connection is made between the 76mm - 70mm hose and the actual air cleaner both of which I have. Do you need to have a metal insert to make it rigid, before making the connection?

Your air filter should have came with various "reducers" to fit and adjust the diameter from say 90mm inside the filter to say 76mm or dam close etc.

2) I have a small puddle of oil,in the throttle body throat when I remove the present air cleaner hose. Is that caused by the breather condensate, and what happens to it in the new system?

Thats why my breather is side ways so it can drip out if required, as it by OEM would return into the engine.
