Thanks for all the replies, I am aware of most of the problems.
I have a new machine on order and until I get that (6 to 10 days)
I don`t want to be pulling this apart, mainly because it behaves almost normal when surfing and looking into our forums.
It was cleaned out inside last year when I moved home.
one reason for asking about the M/B battery was that the computer clock
takes 52 seconds to travel 10

Apart from it "breaking down" all you PC geeks know what a challenge things can be and half of your thinking is disappointing but the other half enjoy`s a challenge.
It is time for an upgrade anyway, I built this tower myself and it would be 5 year old now.
