Not sure of the term you use but I bought second hand drivers side driveshaft for my CDTi manual from ebay as the easiest way out. New are available online aftermarket or through Rimmers but not cheap. See the top of the page in this link:-

Its actually called a tripode joint, Rimmers have the complete LH driveshaft at the price of £372.
If you dont want to go down that route try someone like college motors at Burford, they have alot of good used spares, be sure to pack out the replacement with GKN tripode joint grease. |

Hi Dougie,
Only just seen this, so too late to be of help to you but fyi I went through a lot of pain a few months ago trying to source a inner driveshaft for my 2005 V6 manual; (and there is a lot of different driveshafts for all the permutations) because the trilobe bearing had been.... er,, damaged (its a long story). Glad to report though that Gary Rogers (aka Lovel, this forum) not only realised the problem that the vehicle had been suffering from, (another long story) came from the driveshaft but whilst we searched e-bay, found a supplier for an identical trilobe bearing itself that saved the day. Regards Ian |

Sorry, to avoid any confusion: Trilobe bearing = Tripode joint
