Default Rover 75 Connoisseur SE diesel **SOLD**

2001 with blue leather, Hi Line Sat Nav... 127,000 miles

Car will not start. I've run out of patience and wish to see the back of it. MOT has also expired in the past two weeks. I suspect it may need a bush replacing to pass - but no nasty clonks groans etc.

Engine turns over and runs very well when actually started. I suspect a sensor fault - possibly one of two that have been replaced by used ones.

Car actually drives pretty well when working.

Prior to the non starting the Diesel Stop Valve on the High Pressure pump was replaced by a used item. BigRuss had the car on T4, and pronounced it relatively healthy on vital statistics.

I have replaced the PCV with the modified BMW one, replaced the MAF with a new Bosch one, and also replaced the Air and Fuel Filter.

Price £500. PM me for more info.

OMG!!!

I know you want rid, i've read your post in the general section but PLEASE dont let it go for such a low amount.

As you suspect probably a fueling issue and should be easily fixed - had you put the money you paid for the merc into her she would have been a fantastic car.

Whoever buys this car, please dont break it, of course you will get your money back five-fold but fix her please.

I was going to fix her.

But I think that's going to cost me at least £150. I also think it's going to need a drop link for an mot - plus an MOT - £100. Car now owes me £750. It's a bit tatty on the corners - I think I might struggle to sell still.

Plus counter in the time spent messing about when I could be earning money (self employed - plus the hassle from the wife while it's on the drive).

I'd prefer that she was saved, but I'm not going to refuse to sell to someone who will break it.

I don't trust the car, and if it breaks down on a good day, it can easily cost me double what I paid for it.

The Merc I am afraid is a better car in nearly every way.
