Default Oil drain pan

Looking for recommendations for the above, fed up just using an old bucket?
Thanks

I put this down first to prevent oil splashing onto my drive:

Then I put an old washing up bowl on top of the splash tray to catch the oil.
I also use one of my wife's old baking trays under the oil filter.

You can't beat an old washing up bowl and an old old funnel from the kitchen.

Couple of bits of timber under it so the wind can't blow the dregs over the side of the bowl and you are sorted.

I use an old kitchen bowl, a 25 litre old oil container, and a piece of plastic on the floor first. Empty the oil into the 25 litre plastic container through a funnel. When full, I take the old oil to the recycle centre. Easy Peasy and costs nothing. Yes I know I am a tight wad. Been doing the same thing for around 30 years.

The above method is best, funnel and kitchen bowl.
1

Clean out the oil filter pot as well.

I've had good service from one of these over the years. So handy to use, as there's no transferring of fluids from one container to another for disposal - I just drain the oil into the drain pan moulded into the tub, stick the plug back in, then it goes in the car to go to the tip.

I used one of those for years but found the oil could occasionally bounce over the sides if the sump was a fair height above the drain container. Use an old kitchen washing up bowl now. Perfect.

Soon after I passed my driving test in January 1967, I got one of those free in a promotion from Duckhams oil! Asolutely identical, still using it today.

I don’t know if you do the same as me Steve, but when doing an oil change, I always remove the oil filter first. Reason being, any oil that is in the filter bowl when you remove the filter, the oil drops into the sump. By the way, do you know where I can get some new washers for the end of the oil filter spindle please.
