Unless you are planning to drop the fuel tank to replace the rear brake pipes the chances are you are going to have to bend the brake pipes with your fingers as you work the pipes around the tank. You have to feed the nearside pipe through above the tank and bend it as you put it into situ You then have the fight of clipping the brake pipes back into the clips

You won't go far wrong with a Sykes-Pickavant pipe bender though

Hmmm, mines just failed MOT on corroded rear brake pipes, one burst on brake
test so have had to leave garage to replace both, just wondering how they will deal with fuel tank.
On the plus side am I relieved it let go whilst I was not driving!

Hi Tony seems you were lucky like my and was not traveling at the time, have them check the front pipes and hoses too.

Looking at the condition of the brake pipe Ronnie , I would cut my losses and get a new piece of brake pipe made up. The flexi pipe is only held in by rust as the retaining clip has rotted
I'm sure the man from the peoples republic would advise and help
