Default Cruise control has stopped working

I hardly ever use my cruise control - never been a fan of it - but just for fun yesterday on the motorway decided to engage it. Alas, I pressed the button and it wouldn't switch on - no light, and it just didn't work at all.

Any ideas what the problem may be? As far as I can tell, the only change I've made recently was to add the Synergy. It was certainly working up until a couple of months ago.

No light on the main on-off button when you press it?
If this is the case then you are not getting power to it, so first check would be the fuse.

did you have your left foot anywhere near the clutch pedal? If it is so much as touching the pedal (resting on it, not depressing it), then the cruise won't work...

Or if your clutch pedal has been released a bit sharpish, it can jolt the white proximity switch out of position situated right at the top of the pedal behind the trim. it needs to be "clicked" back towards you when your head is in the footwell!!
Plenty of posts about it on here:xmas:

Thanks fellas. It's an auto, so no clutch

There's no light so I guess I should check the fuse...(not even sure where the fuse box is!!)
