2004 lwb connie diesel auto
Hi
There is a thread with all the details on this car. I bought it a week or so ago, drove it back from Derby to Bristol & took it to a friend of mine who does bodywork. The intention was to fit a premium bumper & respray that & the bonnet/upper wings. I have also ordered a new original complete drivers seat cover. However I have now purchased a 2005 one owner CDTI tourer with gearbox problems, I also have not yet sold my silver 2.5 so the limo is up for sale. Mechanically perfect he recently fitted brand new starter motor & the engine was overhauled with new injectors fitted it really does drive fine, The front end does need a respray due to flaky laquer & stone chips seems this seems to be a fault on later cars. The tyres are ok. The rear factory fitted Sony DVD player (a £3000 extra!) works fine with its remote & is wired into the Harmon Karmon sound system. The high line TV has no sound but is anologue anyway. Sat Nav works as do the powerfold mirrors. The front seat is very dirty & worn but no rips or tears all seat functions including memory work hence the new cover on order. The rest of the interior is grubby as are the rover fitted overmats. A professional clean would bring the other seats & carpets up fine' I have SORN the car but it is still taxed so thats available at cost. Being diesel it really is unique I think there at most only 3 in the country One final pont there is a crease on lower panel of n/s rear door..didn't bother me It should go to a member. I'm just looking to recover my cost & time offers around £1250 before Ebay. |

It's a shame I'm 20 years too young for this car... out of interest, how'd it drive? Would it work as a "normal" family car?
£1250 is stupidly cheap, especially for something so special. |

Ran beautifully but wasn't used to the diesel noise at lower speeds!

Normal Family Car
These drive just as a normal family car, thats the problem!
When I had mine there was no point! I am an owner driver and rarely carry back seat passengers. Even British Car Auctions where I had bought mine failed to realise it was special. Only the most enthusiastic observer realised it is special. Mine was 2.5 V6 and probably a little thirstier than normal. Still a lot of car for the money Ian |
