Oban 2012?
Any thoughts on booking up for a weekend in Oban, spring 2012? A good and well attended meet this year, anymore for anymore? Views and opinions welcome. Alternatively, Graham suggested a spring weekend run to Speyside. What Does The Team Think??????????????

Id love to come along but I already have a weekend booked in Speyside with the TF group and a tour of France in 2012 with the same group so the pennies will be in short supply in 2012.
If you do up to Speyside, consider the Nethybridge hotel. Ive never stayed there, but I believe the accommodation is fine and the food was superb (according to last years visit by some members of the TF group) . . . . Nethybridge Hotel Nethybridge Inverness-shire PH25 3DP Telephone: 01479 821203 Fax: 01479 821686 Email: [email protected] Manager: Robert Wiles-Gill We are booked for £50 per person, per night for dinner, bed & breakfast. This hotel caters for loads of motoring groups and clubs throughout the year, so the 75 and ZT Owners club will be right at home. Hope this helps . . . if you do go to Speyside.

Grantown on Spey is heaven for me.....However Nethybridge is only a couple of miles outside Grantown and the Nethybridge Hotel looks ideal, also the views in Speyside are..... Strathspey Steam Railway and the Mountain Railway at Aviemore are major attractions......You would not be dissappointed up in Speyside..

I know how much you and Mrs Flyer enjoyed Grantown on Speyside and of course i'm biased, but Speyside is my choice

Hi Guys,
I'll be starting a new thread soon with a diary for 2012 and will include an option for Oban or Speyside around the end of April. Having gone to Oban this year I would naturally favour Speyside for 2012. This would also allow us to orgainse something for our more northerly based members. The Cambo meet in 2010 was particularly succesful in that respect. Anyway, all suggestions are welcome and I will repeat, I am not here (as Regional Secretary) to tell members what or where to go. What I am happy to do is co-ordinate and help arrange any meeting the members want to propose. So, whatever the members prefer we can set up. Derek

hi i,m maybe bit new here as can be seen by this my first post. my suggestion would be neither oban or speyside as reading earlier posts here both places have had a visit as such, i,d say if going north then do a fri to sun (2nights) at inverness, plenty b&b,s hotels etc there,s fort george where i spent time based at culloden and urquhart castle all near by even hold a barbie in bucht park on the sunday before going home. that my thoughts anyway.
