badge removal/refit
hi all. The rear badges on typhoon could do with replacing. Now I know how to take badges off but removing safely is a different matter. Any tips on removing without causing damage to the paint please?
Many thanks, si |

Hairdryer to soften adhesive then self tapper through the middle just deep enough to allow the screw to grip the badge when pulling off with pliers. The surround can then be removed if you like as it is held on with a screw only visible when badge is removed.

I have used a new wall paper scraper with tape around the edges to work these badges off, and if enough care is taken, no damage would occur, the idea of applying heat is also a good idea to soften up the spongy gluey stuff that is the adhesive. The smaller the scraper, the better!
Hope this helps. |

Heat them up with a hair dryer and use a credit card.
