Hi Paul,

Good luck with the sale.

I know it is horses for courses and all that, no offence to your wife or the car, but is a strange world when a mechanised jelly mould is worth more than a fully loaded R75 CDTi Conn SE Auto?

Don't knock them unless you've owned one!

My ex had 2 of them and when used as what they were designed for (City use) they are excellent little cars!

No offence taken - it had crossed my mind that my Dad's 'new' fully loaded immaculate V6 Connie SE with 38,000 miles on the clock was only £3,500!! - a hell of a lot more car but you don't simply jump in and nip here and there in one of those and for such a low cost per mile.

As you say though it's horses for courses and Di doesn't really want rid of as she loves it - suits her down to the ground but she had to give up work and it's not getting the use it did.
Also I feel that she's safe in it after seeing the video of the 70 mph smash and how the 'Tridian cell' remained in tact - I was mightily impressed! LINKY

I've owned 2 of these (a fixed head and a convertible) plus a Brabus Roadster (101bhp, rear wheel drive, paddle shift 'box) and they are cracking cars. Fun to drive and frugal in the extreme.

I know I will own another!

Good luck.
