Hello everyone,
Sadly the time has come to sell my 75 Tourer due to a growing family and the fact I can't get 3 car seats across the back, so I am having to "upgrade" to the dreaded people carrier. Details as follows: 2.0 diesel, Connoisseur Tourer. 53 plate, manual gearbox. Colour: Chagall Supertallic (ie metallic blue, special order colour) Beige Leather interior. Mileage 62,100 MOT til 26th Jan 2013 Tax til 30th June 2013 Full Service History - full service not due until August 2013. Dunlop tyres all round, three with 6.5mm tread, one needs replacing. Maintained regardless of cost at Rover specialists (M&G in Bradford) whilst in my ownership. Some highlights are: Full 4 wheel tracking done 10th July 2012. Brand new clutch and slave cylinder fitted May 2012 at a cost of £514, with 2 year guarantee. Rear springs replaced 5th Oct 2011. Coolant and brake fluid replaced July 2011. Panasonic KD-R921BT stereo with bluetooth hands free kit, ipod integration etc, only recently purchased (in July) at a cost of £160. Genuine Rover rubber loadspace liner. A couple of minor Tesco marks as you would expect on a 53 plate car I would like £4,200 ONO (but open to negotiation!!) WILL NOW ACCEPT £3,800 NO OFFERS!!! Ok guys, so here is the deal.
I am prepared to listen to offers, but I know what I can accept in order to have enough left to put down as a deposit on my next car. Look at what you're getting other than the usual Connoisseur spec.... the Bluetooth/hands free/iPod stereo, 8 months tax, service not due til end of next summer, rare colour, great tyres, clutch just done, FSH etc. I am after a quick sale, try me! |

I find it interesting that only a year ago, these specs were going for £4.5k easily.
I've seen some go for a less but with 100k+ miles on the clock. We shall see what happens, but at the end of the day if it doesn't sell then I'll keep it. I can't afford to let it go for any less. And if only one person bids and it goes for the start price, the someone is getting a lot of car for a good price IMHO! If someone does want to offer less, then as it stands I'd cash in the tax (worth £136), take the new JVC Bluetooth/hands free/iPod stereo out (bought for £160 in July) and put the original Rover unit back in.
