Default 8 Days to go.... :)

Till the season opens on our seasonal pitched touring site.

I cannot wait, we had a terrible year last year as we made the mistake of pitching on site nr Lincoln that well, was lousy for many reasons, not least that we were broken in to twice

I am even looking forwards to the annual divorce argument we have when erecting an awning.

Simon

I'm awaiting collection of my new (to me!) 'van - so that I can then:
  1. play with it (the electrics control panel looks like the flight deck of Concorde )
  2. book my sites for the Summer - Sherrif Hutton near York, Scone Palace near Perth, and Rosemarkie near Inverness.
You're right about the awning - one of us always knows best, even if we're wrong. Worse than the awning was my old trailer tent - we had some terrible battles over how to unfold that

Our awning erection scenario is more along the lines of making entertainment for everyone else on the site, as in our case, neither of us really know what we are doing!!

(we usually wait until there's no-one around, although second time we did it, the couple in the next van actually brought chairs round to watch us and make good humoured sarcastic comments!)

I am sat in my van at the moment at the Rowntree Caravan club site in York. What a fantastic place York is, i have never been into the centre before, went to the railway museum & minster yesterday then on a boat trip & am just about to go visit a couple of the other museums.

Is this the one that's pretty much in York, meaning that you can walk to anything to want to see?

I'm going to the C & C Club site at Sheriff Hutton just outside York in June. It's a short drive to a Park & Ride point where you can get a bus into the City centre - dropping off outside the Minster - sounds like I'm going to enjoy it
