Depends on your budget. Michelin PS4’s are excellent, although don’t last as well as some of the others.
I’ve put kuhmos on the wife’s Peugeot and although ok, wear quite quickly, more so than the Michelins but are quite a bit cheaper.
On the rov I’ve got a set of dunlops but I don’t know what model without looking, a second hand set since removing the hairpins and going back to unions. A big difference in grip has been noticed as you’d expect and not much gain in terms of road noise and ride. Just ok really.
The hairpins had a set of trakmax tyres which were the cheapest new tyre I could find at £30 each! They were surprisingly decent actually, got about 15000 miles out of them with totally even wear, decent wet and dry grip and were quiet. A decent tyre as far as Chinese death rings go!
And not necessarily relevant, but on the terrano it’s got Yokohama geolanders and these have been the best value tyre I’ve ever had. They’ve been on at least 6 and 1/2 years and covered 35000 miles and there’s still a good amount of life left. I’ll have to change them soon because they’re starting to crack between the treads but great all weather tyre, even though they aren’t advertised as being so.

I purchased Autogreen tyres for my Berlingo van running 120 bhp and 35k miles a year 8 months ago and they were better than the Khumos previously on.
If you ever get the chance and can afford them the Michelin pilot sports are a tyre but to be honest unless you’re delivering a lot of horsepower through the front wheels you may not appreciate them. My last car was a remapped Golf GTi edition 30 on 304 bhp. My new ZT 180 has a mixture of Nexen and other budget tyres but they will be replaced when I have all the other jobs done. They are fine for now but I am hoping to get it the best one out there I can.

I have been running Falken ZIEX ZE310 EcoRuns all round for the last year and found them noticeably better in both grip and noise than any premium tyre i've previously bought. Quite reasonably priced too.

I had a pair of cooper tyres on my Zafira 225/45 r17, I wanted Avon but apparently the tyre shop said that Cooper is part of Avon.
They lasted a lot less time than the Uniroyal rainsport 3s (superb in the wet) that were on the other axle, and I do regularly rotate my tyres.

Both had cracked significantly and were MOT advisories after only about 70% wear, I changed all 4 on Monday for Pirelli cintaurato p7, that I got for a good price 2nd hand which the previous owner never fitted and didn't now have a vehicle for them.

I had Landsail Tyres on my ZT190. They were surprisingly good tyres, handled very well and wore like iron, although were a bit noisier than the Contis on my current ZT-T.

I've only ever fitted GY Eagle F1's 225/45 R17's with edge protectors. As I've nothing personally to compare these against it's a biased opinion but I found them great for everything but perhaps road noise - there again, can't compare but the GY labels give them a very good dB rating but keep changing the 'generation' (tread patterns??) - however they ain't cheap.
