Default Help Please

Hi All,
I have recently purchased from radioguy the latest double din head unit with satnav, TV, USB, Micro SD, ipod and am very pleased with it.
However, not being able to afford an ipod, I decided to record some music on a usb stick. I have tried recording as mp3 and as wma but when plugged into the head unit nothing is recognised. I have also purchased a micro sd card for this purpose.
Can anyone advise please?
Many thanks
Tom

Hi Tom,
What size stick are you using?
I think the maximum size is 32gig that works reliably
Also have you formatted it to fat32?
It doesn't work on Ntfs so you may need to change the format Sir.
Hope that helps, same advice for the micro sd card as well

Hi Jeff,
Thanks very much for the swift reply.
It is only a very small stick 128MB, but I didn't realise it had to be fat32 formatted. All I did was right click on it in my 'computer' and select format, so I really don't know what method was used, not sure I'd know how to tell.

hi there put the stick into your pc, right click , go to properties, then you can format it there, just click on fat 32, then you can record from pc to the stick

Yes, I ought to have known that as I used to build computers.
Thanks anyway, much appreciated.

If it helps - I used to get error "352 out of time" when using an ipod on my original win ce unit. In my case, it could be cleared just by cycling the mode button through radio, aux etc back to iPod.
